WHO IS UNSUNG HEROES
Unsung Heroes Productions is very proud of the creative teams we have assembled. We strive for a balance of seasoned industry professionals, industry newcomers and amateurs from our community. Combined they make for a highly dedicated, collaborative and nurturing team, providing opportunities to foster talent in the creative production process.
I am thrilled to be back directing the Sing for Tomorrow production for a fourth year. I have been working in theatres most of my adult life in all capacities from performing all the way to producing and have been lucky enough to win awards all along the way. I currently produce and direct about six plus shows a year in Toronto. Recent credits include The Odd Couple, Hair, Oleanna, Blood Brothers, The Children’s Hour, and Urinetown. I also love to teach kids and am working on offering more PlaySeries products to the city, including SingPlay, full length musicals, and SwordPlay, a fun and educational method for teaching kids – and adults – about theatre (and letting them love it). Thanks, so much, to Neal and the whole Unsung gang. It’s my honour to be involved in these productions. #onward
FOUNDER & ARTISTIC PRODUCER
Most of what there is to know about me can be found by getting involved with our shows. Be in the cast, crew, sponsor or just come and sit in the audience. You will see firsthand the power of these shows, the community it fosters, the entertainment, laughter, music and love it nurtures. It is the embodiment of what my mom passed on to my siblings and I.
Outside of working on these productions, I am a Customer Experience consultant, proud father of my little angels Joshua and Brayden, and very lucky husband to my beautiful wife and partner in everything, Jaime Saibil. Love you guys.
A suburbanilly-renowned high-school physics teacher and out-of-work ballroom dancing instructor, Matt began training in classical piano performance when he was 6 years old. Inspired by a piano-teacher who could sight-read the Theme to Superman, Matt worked tirelessly at home and up through the ranks at the National Music Camp of Canada to become the faculty music theater accompanist. From there, he has music directed, accompanied or conducted countless shows around Toronto with many companies including Bravo Academy, Children's Arts Theater School Mainstage Productions, No Strings Theater, First Act Productions, The Unsung Heroes Project 2015, and the recently exceptionally-reviewed-by-the-principal school production of Grease! Matt regularly accompanies professional classical, jazz and theater performers, and he also performs classical recitals for seniors who would rather hear Gershwin.
Deb has been the Unsung Heroes Choreographer since the very beginning: 4 straight years!
In addition to choreographing the productions for the past 3 years, Deb also choreographs for several other production companies.
Her recent work as choreographer includes a children's production of Peter Pan, high school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, American Idiot and several other shows.
Andrew is a Toronto based performer and musician who has been involved in theatre since he was 10. He has a love for music, having studied both classical trumpet and jazz piano at York University.
Andrew has musically directed a number of shows in and around Toronto, as well as being an active performer. Past credits include Roger in Rent (Lower Ossington Theatre), Joseph in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (Al Green Theatre); he also performed in 80’s Solid Gold an 80’s music review/rock concert (Stage West Calgary).
Andrew has performed internationally, including China, Qatar and United Arab Emirates, with Creativiva Inc.
When he is not performing, Andrew teaches voice, trumpet, and piano privately.
Andrew is thrilled to be joining the crew of Unsung Heroes Productions, and to be able to share his love for musical theatre with others.
This is my first year with Unsung Heroes, and I couldn’t be happier to join the team.
The arts have been a part of my life since a very young age, starting with dance classes. I discovered my love for the theatre, particularly the production aspect, in high school and have made it a part of my life in one way or another ever since.
In the last few years I’ve been involved with various theatre groups around Toronto as a Stage Manager.
Recent credits include: August: Osage County, Stepping Out (Alumnae Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Curtain Call Players), Sizzle and Spin (Plan A Productions), and Sabrina Fair (Amicus Productions).
I’m thrilled to be joining this team of wonderful individuals dedicated to using their talents to help raise funds for an important cause.

Past work has included time with the UK Tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, as well as on creation of the adaptation of a recent West End musical.
Sean is active as an educator in the Toronto area and in addition to teaching and directing, maintains a busy schedule of vocal coaching, arranging and orchestrating. He is humbled to be a part of the team and to contribute to the admirable work of Unsung Heroes, with the utmost respect for the work of the company and its mandate.
ACOUSTIC MUSICAL ARRANGEMENTS
When Neal created Unsung Heroes he provided me and so many others the opportunity to do something we love, while raising money for causes close to our hearts. Sharing the stage with so many wonderful people over the years has afforded me a wealth of friendships I never would have been able to foster on my own. All the while being able to entertain and enjoy the warmth of an audience’s appreciation.
With Unsung’s newly expanded platform, there is even more goodwill to be done and good times to be had. I am thankful for the opportunity to help Neal make his vision a reality.
During the occasional moments when I am not preparing for a production of one sort or another, I spend my time working with Independent Retailers on how to improve the quality of their lives by taking control of their businesses – another rewarding experience.
